Great taste without meat? Easy.

Sustainability is an important topic in the culinary world too. Growing food—and especially raising animals—has a significant impact on the climate and biodiversity. On top of that, processing many foods requires a lot of energy.

At the Tag & Nacht Bistro on the Mein Schiff® fleet, our new guest Captain Peaters feels right at home. He’s brought along two delicious plant-based creations: the BratVurst and the Peaters Burger.

  • Veggie-Burger mit Salat, Tomaten, Gurken und roten Zwiebeln auf einem Teller.
    • Bratwürste mit Kartoffeln und Gemüse auf weißem Teller, Glas Bier.

Both are vegan, packed with protein, and made from peas and wheat. But that’s not all: they’re free from any additives that require declaration. The taste is so authentic that you’ll hardly notice the difference from meat. The big advantage? Producing these plant-based ingredients results in a much lower CO₂ footprint compared to meat. Plus, it uses less water and requires less land than traditional meat production.

The manufacturer, endori, is committed to making the entire value chain as eco-friendly as possible. The peas are grown in Germany, and the products are processed in Bamberg, Bavaria. That makes these dishes a tasty and sustainable alternative. Feeling hungry? Then be sure to stop by the Tag & Nacht Bistro on the Mein Schiff® fleet soon.
