Your wedding ceremony on board the Mein Schiff® fleet
Turn the most beautiful day of your life into an unforgettable experience
Say "I do" on board our Mein Schiff® fleet!
The captains of the Mein Schiff® fleet are officially authorised to perform legally valid marriages and civil partnerships in international waters, which are also fully recognised in Germany after the cruise. This is made possible by a special provision in Maltese marriage law and in the Maltese Civil Unions Act, which also applies to the fleet sailing under the Maltese flag. The wedding ceremony is conducted in German and according to Maltese law.
The presence of two adult witnesses is required; this task can also be taken over by the Mein Schiff® crew at the couple's request.
Please note that you must give at least ten weeks' notice before travelling so that the marriage ceremony can be registered with the Maltese authorities in good time.
Here you will find all the necessary documents and information for your wedding ceremony on board
Please contact our Mein Schiff Wedding Team for a binding date and further questions about getting married on board.
Please understand that this is a specialist department that takes care of the complete landside organisation of all wedding topics. All enquiries are answered carefully and in the order in which they are received, which can take some time depending on the volume of enquiries.
