Zadar

Surrounded by countless islands, the port of Zadar lies on a narrow spit of land on the Adriatic Sea. As one of the oldest cities in Croatia, Zadar is also characterised by Venetian influences, which you will see as you stroll through the historic old town. Countless sacred buildings such as the Cathedral Church of St Anastasia, the Church of St Donatus from the 9th century or St Simeon with its ornate reliquary invite you to marvel in awe. The five fountains and the neighbouring tower of the city commander are also beautiful.
