Foynes
The small port town of Foynes is known for its rich maritime & aviation history. A visit to the Foynes Flying Boat History Museum is therefore a must if you want to explore the town in the west of Ireland. Afterwards you can stroll through the large and stunning Knockpatrick Garden. For a day trip in County Limerick, we recommend travelling to the medieval city of the same name. This will take you over Thomond Bridge to King John’s Castle, which was built in the 13th century. But the region also has a lot to offer nature lovers. Discover the famous Cliffs of Moher, which are located on the south-west coast in County Clare, on an excursion.
