Olden (Innvikfjord)

The small town of Olden in western Norway is idyllically situated on the Innvikfjord. Here you can relax from the stress of everyday life and experience the wonderful nature that surrounds the city. This small town is a popular holiday destination especially thanks to the breathtaking natural beauty in the immediate vicinity. Numerous hiking routes through Oldedalen will make the heart of experienced hikers beat faster. And anglers are also guaranteed to get their money’s worth as trout and salmon seem to compete in the Oldevatn. The main attraction of the region is the Briksdal Glacier. Norway’s most visited glacier is an incredible natural spectacle. No less impressive is the Bøya Glacier, the main branch of the Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier on mainland Europe. At the Norwegian Glacier Centre, you can then learn about the formation and mighty power of the glaciers and also try a simulated ice crossing – if you dare!
