Mindelo (Såo Vicente)

Mindelo is considered by some to be the cultural capital of Cape Verde. No wonder, the colourful carnival is celebrated here on the island of São Vicente every year. In the upmarket Praca Nova district, the Quiosque Praca Nova with its beautiful art nouveau pavilion is an inviting place to take a break.
